We are currently recruiting SIA Door Supervisors to support a range of venues across Edinburgh, including hospitality, licensed premises, and events. This is an opportunity to join a reliable, friendly, and switched on team focused on creating safe and welcoming environments for both customers and staff.

Purpose of Role

To provide a safe and secure environment for customers, staff, and property by managing entry, monitoring behaviour, and responding to incidents in a professional and customer friendly manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all customers and staff
• Control entry to venues, ensuring compliance with age and licensing requirements
• Carry out ID checks in line with venue policy
• Manage queues effectively to maintain a smooth and controlled flow of entry and exit
• Monitor behaviour inside and outside the venue to maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere
• De-escalate situations using conflict management techniques
• Respond to incidents professionally and in line with company procedures
• Accurately record and report incidents where required
• Work closely with venue management and team members to ensure smooth operations
• Conduct regular patrols and maintain a proactive approach to preventing issues

Requirements

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
• Previous experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential)
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• 5 year checkable employment or education history with references (BS7858 compliant)
• Must be over 18 years of age
• Ability to travel to various locations across Edinburgh
