Lesson 2.1: Appearance and Uniform

Look the Part, Be the Part

First impressions count. Whether you’re working security at the stadium or serving drinks at a private function, how you look directly reflects on DIMA Group and on you. Clients and guests will judge professionalism from the moment they see you, before you even speak.

Clean and Pressed Uniform

Uniforms should be washed, ironed, and presentable. Turn up looking sharp — not like you just rolled out of bed.

Correct Clothing for the Role

You’ll be told what to wear for each shift. This could include:

  • Black trousers (not jeans or joggers)
  • DIMA-branded polo or jacket (if issued)
  • Smart black shoes (polished, not trainers unless allowed)

Personal Grooming

Basic hygiene is non-negotiable. This includes:

  • Showered before shift
  • Fresh breath and deodorant
  • Neat, professional hair
  • Minimal or no perfume/aftershave

No Visible Headphones, Chewing Gum, or Phones on Show

You’re working, not chilling. Keep distractions out of sight and focus on the job.

Badges & Lanyards (If Applicable)

If your role includes wearing an SIA badge or a venue pass, it must be visible and valid.

Turning up looking scruffy, in the wrong clothing, or unwashed will get you sent home — and you may not be offered more shifts. We take our presentation seriously, and so should you.
