Lesson 2.2 – Assignment Instructions & Site Documents

Assignment Instructions

Assignment Instructions explain the specific duties, responsibilities and requirements for each site you work at. These instructions are site specific and must be followed at all times.

You are required to read and understand Assignment Instructions before starting every shift. If you have worked at a site before, you must still check the instructions in case there have been updates or changes.

Failure to follow Assignment Instructions may result in removal from site or disciplinary action.

Where to find Assignment Instructions

Assignment Instructions and site documents are available on the C247 app.

To access them:
• Open the C247 app
• Select the three lines in the top right corner
• Select Documentation
• Select Site Documents

Some venues may also hold a physical site file. You must ask venue management where this is kept if required.

Site documents and information

Site documents may include:
• Assignment Instructions
• Site specific risk assessments
• Emergency procedures
• Incident and accident reporting forms
• Contact information

You must familiarise yourself with all relevant site documents before starting your duties.

If instructions are missing or unclear

If Assignment Instructions or site documents are missing, incomplete, or unclear, you must report this to management immediately.

You must not guess or assume procedures. If something is unclear, you must seek clarification before proceeding.

Conflicting instructions

If a client or venue representative asks you to do something that conflicts with Assignment Instructions or company policy, you must:
• Politely explain that you must follow company procedures
• Refer the issue to management
• Not follow instructions that place you or others at risk

Responsibility and accountability

You are responsible for following Assignment Instructions throughout your shift. Claiming that instructions were not read or understood is not acceptable once guidance has been provided.
