Lesson 4.1 – Uniform Standards
Uniform requirements
All SIA Door Supervisors must wear the correct uniform while on duty. Your appearance must be professional, tidy, and consistent with DIMA Group standards.
Wearing the correct uniform helps:
• Identify you as authorised security staff
• Maintain a professional image
• Build client and public confidence
You must attend every shift in full uniform unless specifically instructed otherwise by management.
Standard uniform items
Your standard uniform consists of:
• Company issued jacket
• Tie
• White long sleeved shirt
• Smart black trousers
• Black shoes or boots
Uniform items must be clean, in good condition, and worn correctly.
SIA licence badge
You must display your SIA Door Supervisor badge clearly at all times while on duty.
Your badge must:
• Be visible
• Be worn on the outermost garment
• Not be covered or obscured
Failure to display your badge may result in removal from duty.
Condition and care of uniform
You are responsible for maintaining your uniform in a clean and presentable condition.
You must:
• Replace damaged or heavily worn items
• Keep uniform clean and pressed
• Report any uniform issues to management
Uniform must not be altered without authorisation.
Uniform compliance
Failure to attend a shift in the correct uniform or failure to display your SIA badge may result in:
• Removal from the shift
• Loss of pay for the shift
• Disciplinary action
