Lesson 6.1 – Equality, Dignity & Inclusion
Equal treatment at work
DIMA Group is committed to providing a working environment where everyone is treated fairly, with dignity and respect. Discrimination, harassment, or unfair treatment of any kind will not be tolerated.
All staff are expected to treat colleagues, clients, customers, and members of the public with respect, regardless of personal characteristics or background.
What equality means in practice
Equality at work means:
• Treating people fairly and consistently
• Making decisions based on behaviour and actions, not personal characteristics
• Providing equal opportunity and access
• Challenging inappropriate behaviour
You must not discriminate against or treat anyone unfairly on the basis of protected characteristics.
Harassment and bullying
Harassment or bullying may include:
• Offensive or inappropriate comments
• Intimidation or threats
• Unwanted physical contact
• Behaviour that causes offence, distress, or humiliation
Such behaviour is unacceptable whether directed at colleagues, clients, or members of the public.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for:
• Treating others with respect
• Challenging inappropriate behaviour where safe to do so
• Reporting concerns or incidents
• Supporting a positive and inclusive working environment
Failing to act appropriately may result in disciplinary action.
Reporting concerns
If you experience or witness discrimination, harassment, or bullying, you must report it through the appropriate channels. DIMA Group will treat reports seriously and investigate them appropriately.
