Lesson 2.3 – Security Vetting & Ongoing Suitability
Security vetting requirements
All security personnel working for DIMA Group must meet ongoing suitability requirements in order to remain employed in a licensed security role.
Your initial vetting allows you to begin work, but suitability must be maintained throughout your employment.
Your responsibility to remain suitable
You are responsible for informing DIMA Group immediately if there are any changes that may affect your suitability to work in security.
This includes, but is not limited to:
• Criminal charges, cautions, or convictions
• Changes to your right to work in the UK
• Loss, suspension, or expiry of your SIA licence
• Changes to your personal details
• Any other matter that may impact your suitability
Failure to disclose relevant information may result in removal from duties or disciplinary action.
SIA licence requirements
You must:
• Hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
• Ensure your licence remains in date
• Display your SIA badge at all times while on duty
Working without a valid licence is illegal and will result in immediate removal from duty.
Honesty and integrity
DIMA Group expects all staff to act honestly and with integrity. Providing false or misleading information during employment or failing to disclose relevant changes may be treated as gross misconduct.
If you are unsure whether something needs to be declared, you must raise this with management immediately.
Ongoing checks and reviews
DIMA Group may carry out ongoing checks and reviews to ensure continued suitability. You are required to cooperate fully with any reasonable requests for information or documentation.
